Not all “diet food” is the same. Let me say right now –I L-O-V-E several Weight Watcher (Smart Ones) meals & many Lean Cuisine meals. However, there are some that aren’t worth the calories (and fat and sodium, etc.) For example, I had a Weight Watchers Double Fudge Cake, and I thought it was horrible!!!! (Maybe that’s b/c I just recently had Kim’s cake – see previous post.) But it has 220 calories & 6 grams of fat! It didn’t even taste GOOD! So, I’m not wasting my calories on that any more. On Weight Watchers behalf, their Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae is worth it. It only has 3 g. of fat and 170 calories and 3 WW Points, oh, yes, and it tastes really good!

Here's what I found to be a better judge of progress than weight loss...measure your waist, hips, thighs and upper arms each week with a measuring tape (for me it's an extra long one!!!) Especially with exercising since muscle weighs more than fat. And really who cares what number the scale says...it's how you look and feel that's most important! Then you can say, I only lost 1/2 pound, but I lost a total of 2 inches! It's worth every bit of struggle! Hang in there! I'll be right there with come next February!
I haven't check myself, but did you look for diet meals at Super One, Econo or whatever Piggly Wiggly is called now?
Jenn - I haven't looked anywhere else except Marcouiller's (Piggly Wiggly). But I definitely need to broaden my horizon's.
Debbie - Yes, I do need to start measuring (not just my food, but my body as well.) That's probably a good idea so I don't get super discouraged when the scale seems to be going UP! :)
